Nourish the Mind, Body and Soul

Providing Japanese Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicines for over 20 years

Japanese Acupuncture shares the same underlying medical theory but differs from the Chinese style in application and technique. In Japanese style we believe that the body’s most responsive “Qi” lies on, or just beneath, the skin surface.

From this perspective, it is unnecessary to needle deeply or to produce a strong needle sensation. Also, in Japanese acupuncture thinner needles and fewer needles are used in a typical treatment. In short, Japanese style follows the premise that “less is more”.

How Many Visits Will It Take?

Acupuncture is a technique that is very effective in triggering specific physiological responses. It is a natural method that activates the body’s own healing abilities. Two or three treatments may be enough for certain acute cases, such as:  muscle aches, stress, and general tension.  Chronic conditions may take ten to twenty visits

at weekly or bi-weekly intervals to achieve lasting  results. Your disorder may have been years in the making and thus your body may not be receptive to immediate results. Once your primary ailment is under control I recommend a monthly maintenance program. Just as our gardens, vehicles, pets and children need constant care and attention so does your body.

Help your body heal itself!

What Can Acupuncture Help?

In the United States, acupuncture is used frequently for the treatment of chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, bursitis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, low-back pain, headache, and migraines.

It is also used for treating conditions due to immune system dysfunction such as recurrent common colds, sinusitis, rhinitis, psoriasis, allergies, and asthma. Acupuncture is effective in the treatment of numerous digestive disorders including: constipation, diarrhea, ulcers, and GERD.

It is also effective in the treatment of mind-body disorders such as anxiety, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, hypertension, insomnia, PMS, menopausal symptoms, and depression. Some modern application of acupuncture is in the treatment of disorders such as alcoholism, addiction, smoking, and eating disorders.

To date, the World Health Organization recognizes over 50 conditions that can be treated by Acupuncture.
